The runway no. 2 of Cam Ranh International Airport uses OCEM’s airfield lighting system that was made from EU: Lights, control system of Italy; constant current regulator of France; transformers, connectors of Finland; safety mast of UK.

   In June, VST organized a training course about airfield lighting system at the factory of Ocem in Italy and Augier in France. The main goal of this course is to equip everyone with background knowledge about the equipment so that the technicians can operate and handle the problems during the operation of equipment.

   Training content at OCEM factory: approach light; sequence flashing light;  Runway threshold identification flashing light; runway lighting; PAPI light; Modular stop lights, runway line lights; runway lights; Lighting control system.

    Visit Verona Airport, Italy: The airfield lighting system at Verona airport provided by OCEM meets CAT 3 standard and uses ILCMS individual lighting control & monitoring system.

    The training course combined with practical visits helped us gain valuable knowledge and information when visiting and researching some airports in Europe.
