On 25/03/2021 at headquarter of Airports Corporation of Vietnam (ACV), 58 Truong Son, Ward 2, Tan Binh District, Ho Chi Minh City, Siemens Logistics from Germany cooperated with VTD Company/VST Company to hold a seminar "A Seminar to introduce the digital solutions and baggage handling system of Siemens Logistics - Germany".

Participants attending the online seminar included experts from Siemens Logistics: Dr. Pham Thai Lai, CEO of Siemens ASEAN, CEO of Siemens Vietnam. Mr. Lars Heimlich, ASEAN Regional Sales Manager; Mr. Christopher Stein, Digital Aviation Consultant at Siemens Logistics Dubai; Mr. Ramon Vazquez Ramo, Head of ASEAN Customer Service, Siemens Logistics Germany.

On the ACV side, there were representatives of the Technique - Technology - Environment Department, Planning Department, Information Technology Department, Long Thanh PMU, Tan Son Nhat T3 PMU, Noi Bai T2 PMU.

In the framework of the seminar, experts from Siemens Logistics introduced and presented the technologies and outstanding features of products and solutions such as the VarioTray ICS sorter with a center guidance rail, Aviation Data Hub, Baggage 360, condition-based and predictive maintenance service. Advanced products and solutions for BHS of Siemens Logisticsare being used at airports of all sizes in Europe as well as other countries around the world. Especially at Incheon Airport Terminal 2 - Korea, Siemens Logistics has supplied and installed a complete baggage handling system using a combination of VarioBelt conveyor technology, the VarioSort TTS 1100 tilt-tray for presorting the baggage, Variotray ICS for main sorting task and advanced control software; With its outstanding energy efficiency, the ability to handle a large amount of baggage with handling capacity of almost 20,000 bags per hour, the 0.3/100,000 delayed baggage rate that is much lower than the international average of 11.5/100,000, Incheon Airport Terminal T2 is considered one of the best international transit point in 2020 by Skytrax.  At Dubai International Airport, one of the three largest airports in the world, besides providing baggage handling system, Siemens offers the latest digital solutions such as the Aviation Data Hub, Baggage 360, and signed an Operation & Maintenance service contract with a period of 6 years using software to predict the fault and operation status of the equipment.

The seminar, having received the attention, sharing and discussion of experts and guests, was a success.
